'Rädda Nattågen - Save the Night Trains'
Nattåg withdrawal protest at Abisko Östra on the final week of the service. During the scheduled 15 minute stop at the station, the group handed out free coffee and Fiske (cinnamon buns) to travellers and staff on the train to raise awareness to the cause of saving their night train service.

Booking in advance is highly recommended as the ticket you want may be sold out long before your intended travel date. There are three basic types of travel class

Carriages also used for passengers taking local journeys

Intermediate priced option
Can be booked for 4 or 6 passengers, or solo if sharing with strangers

Limited luggage storage in the compartment, however luggage storage available at the ends of the carriages

Converts from seated day mode to night mode
Carriages located in-between seated and sleeping compartments, limited passengers walking past

Schedule formatted to link up with flights from Evenes-Narvik, buses are scheduled to arrive 1 hour before flights depart. 1 hour is plenty of time to navigate the airport.
You will need to collect a physical boarding pass before proceeding to security. There are several self service machines in the terminal that can issue these.
Local bus route 200 is also avaliable to Evenes-Narvik airport, though cheaper (about £5 for a single ticket) this runs less frequently and does not correspond well with flights.

Fare to Bodø: 421 NOK (£33.01 at time of writing) Journey time: 6 hours 5 minutes
If you wish to continue south in Norway by train, you can take the bus route 100 south to either Fauske or Bodø to connect on to the Nordland railway line.
The bus journey south requires a change at Storjord to another bus, about 2 hours south from Narvik. The connection is guaranteed.
